Mass Market / BIAS / Mobile / WISP

Broadband Internet access service (BIAS) is defined as a mass-market retail service by wire or radio that provides the capability to transmit data to and receive data from the Internet.

BIAS can include mobile, landline, and wireless services sold to consumers and small businesses.

BIAS does not include most, if not all, enterprise services, virtual private network services, hosting, or data storage services.

Be certain you know the differences between BIAS and other types of Internet access services.  Enterprise services, for example, may be regulated and taxed very differently than BIAS.

We can help advise on the regulatory, tax and business implications of offering BIAS and/or various flavors of enterprise communications services.
