Ms. Clayton is an associating attorney with Marashlian & Donahue, PLLC. She is the founder of The Law Office of Julia A. Clayton, P.C., a California-based practice focused on providing legal services to small and mid-sized businesses.

Ms. Clayton brings a wealth of state court and government experience from her nearly two-decade career with the California Department of Justice. During her time as a Deputy Attorney General, she served as trial counsel for state agencies, handling evidentiary proceedings, bench trials, and appeals. Representative matters included health-facility regulatory compliance, federal and state constitutional challenges to administration of child support enforcement services, and ADA accessibility cases involving websites and written communications.

Ms. Clayton also led team of attorneys and auditors in investigations of potential California False Claims Act violations, several of which culminated in multi-million dollar recoveries of state funds.

 Ms. Clayton currently assists firm clients facing litigation in California regarding using of cookies and web-tracking technologies under the California Invasion of Privacy Act (“CIPA”) and related statutes.
